ONE OF THE THREE

I’m not sure if these are double posts. Well, I’m sure the top one is a new one. I’ll have to double check and see what’s up.

YONGLI WHITE BOARD - Nice simple bullet point white board marker. BLACK/RED/GREEN color scheme, kinda peppery. That’s what I thought when I picked this one up while in Chengdu. According to label, you can “add ink to apply again and again”.

BAOKE TWIN TIP - Chisel Tip on the broad side, thing bullet tip on the other. Pretty straight forward marker, this one. It works well. Baoke makes a good marking product.

TOYO ERASING WB528 - 2.8 MM bullet tip whiteboard marker. That’s a peculiar size. Usually it’ll be 2.5 mm or 3.0 mm. According to label, “Easy Erasing, Bright Marking, Without Ghost…” I’d prefer this marker WITH ghost. That would be pretty good. Made by the fine folks at Creative Wealth Stationary Co, Ltd. That’s a front if I ever heard of one. Launder that $$$ !!!

5 STRIPES

Last of the Fuzhou Lu backlog of updates…next step is drawing them all. Back to Fuzhou Lu for paper and maybe more markers. The cycle continues…

ADIDAS - Got this from Sam a bunch of weeks ago. Branded black marker. Nice solid nib, though its too thin/makes thin lines.

FENLOT - Nice chunky bullet point that produces thick lines. This one has some weight to it. It says “Avirulence ” on the label. hmm…

TOYO 139 - This body design looks familiar. The marker has a nice rubber grip. Supper long writing distance, according to the label. Overall, it LOOKS nice, but is far from it…

BAOKE PAINT - Nice Pearl Paint-ish font type on the label. Metal jacket paint marker.

KNOW KM800 - Know tends to make a good product, but the ink quality on this one isn’t the same as other models. Don’t know why that would be.

MORE CHINATOWN $ STORE FINDS

More Chinatown dollar store pick-ups.

MIN XU NON DRY MARKER – It’s a twin tip, bullet point broad on one side, fine point on the other. It says you can leave the cap off for up to 60 hours and it will still work. Going to test that out.

HAI XIN TOKENS PEN – I have another one of these, exact same design label and layout, except the label says HAI JIA. Pretty much a Super Sharpie knock-off in shape.

JAPANHOME – Got this one by Jovino Gun shop. I like the blue color. It’s based on common twin tip, with a bullet point/chisel tip configuration.

TOYO SUPER MARKER – Slight differences in copy size and font choices. One of them says Creative Wealth Stationary Co Ltd, and also has Japanese writing under the TOYO label.

I DON”T WANNA WORK

All of these markers came from Chinatown dollar stores, with most of them coming from THE Chinatown dollar store on Dundas. The one where the old man used to bang on a pot to get you in there. I always go down there trying to look for stuff to buy. My best pick up was a bunch of those boxing punchy dolls for $1 a piece. I got a ninja head, Saddam, and Mikhail.

YONG LI YEY – Common silhouette, simple construction. I actually buy these because they wear out quite quickly. Good for fades. I often go in and sort through the markers to take all the faded ones. 50 cents a piece.

YONGLI LETIAN – Same silhouette as above, just different plastic wrap labeling.

LIKE YEY – Same silhouette as above, just different plastic wrap labeling.

SAN YUAN – Same silhouette as above, but the labeling is printed right on the plastic, and the cap color is grey. They even put stickers indicating that it is a bullet tip on the top of the cap. Nice little production changes to make it a fraction more appealing.

TOYO AQUALINE – This is a bootleg Artline Aquafast. Solid construction and good quality for the price.

SHANGHAI PICK-UPS

Picked up all these markers in Shanghai in the stationary marker district. Nice sunny day to go supply shopping.

SUPERBLINE 700 – This seems to be a knockoff , but maybe it’s just the design. The plastic label wrap is applied wonky so the words and graphics align funny. It’s a good quality marker, it just looks cheap.

TOYO PAINT MARKER – Got this one in some shop. I remember Andrew bought some paint in there, andFos got some long brush in there. This marker was in some display case by the window. Good quality metal jacket marker with attractive lettering spelling the word PAINT. Nice looking marker.

G.E INK 200 – Got this in the same shop as the one above. Made by Simbalion . It has this alright looking pawprint logo on it. It reminds me of the Artline metal jacket design. It is still cello-wrapped, so I don’t know much else about how it works.

PERMANENT MARKER – I should have took pictures of the marker racks. I really didn’t, and don’t take pictures in general. Maybe I should make the effort. This is a good quality marker. The font for PERMANENT MARKER looks like it was written with a knife. Especially the MARKER part. It looks all bleeding.

G.E MARKER 250 – Chisel tip. Metal jacket. Nice marker.

PILOT PAINT – Metal jacket construction. It’s a PILOT so even though it’s cello-wrapped, I know it will work well.

SIMBALION 750 – This is a borderline marker for my collection. It is a bit on the small size, but the large chisel tip somewhat makes it fall under my criteria for what can be included in the collection. Yeah, that one shop had loads of Simbalion in there. It is an okay marker.

HONG HUAN 88 – Bootleg Pilot marker. This is one of my favorite markers in my collection. It is Watekproof. It actually runs really smooth and is pretty good quality for a bootleg.

WINGSUNG – Another bootleg Pilot marker. I don’t know if it is a bootleg of a bootleg.

GANGY PAINT MARKER – Valve action metal jacket.
